朱立倫表示，國人愛吃豬腳、豬心等內臟都是瘦肉精最易殘留的部位，貿然讓美國瘦肉精豬肉進口，國人吃下的殘留瘦肉精殘留量勢必比別國民眾還多，開放「美豬」應先聽聽豬農、專家及基層消費者的聲音，「蔡主席不是很會溝通嗎？怎麼還沒溝通就主張開放？」

朱立倫話鋒一轉又說，新北市下水道接管率超過60%，迄今尚未向市民徵收汙水處理費，高市接管率不到40%，高市府還沒與民眾溝通，即挾議會議員多數通過強徵汙水處理費，這就是民進黨的「鴨霸」。
